VERY FINE RARE CASED SAMUEL P. COLT PRESENTATION TYPE 2 COLT NEW MODEL POLICE BREECH LOADING REVOLVER

This fine example is featured on page 16 of “Variations of Colt’s New Model Police & Pocket Breech Loading Pistols”. It was presented to “SETH PAUL / WITH COMPLIMENTS OF / SAML P. COLT” July 1, 1872. It is fit with a 4.5″ ’62 bbl. that has an ejector and 1-line New York address. The “COLT / PATENT” marked frame has a small hammer screw and internal loading gate spring. 5-shot round stagecoach scene rebated cylinder. Brass straps. Smooth factory varnished walnut 1-piece grips. The bbl., cyl., frame, straps, & grips are all matching SN. The loading gate and arbor have matching assembly numbers. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Factory blue velvet lined compartment case with 74th cartridge block.
