Nickel steel info is under sight and caliber is at rear. Carbine has full magazine. Bottom of standard action with saddle ring stud on left side is stamped “J.C.’17” on bottom of action under S#. Top tang is marked “MODEL 1894” “WINCHESTER” “TRADEMARK” and with patent info. Varnished gumwood stock is fitted with carbine type butt plate. Matching for end attaches with blued band. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: saddle ring in plastic bag. A 2-page photocopy of email from Bert Hartman WACA Historian listing the 259 Model 1894 Spruce Gun serial numbers documented thus far (Jan 5, 2022).
