M2HB heavy machine gun mfg. by High Standard. Right side plate is marked “U.S. NO 1177191 GVT. INSP./ BROWNING MACHINE GUN CAL. .50 M2/ MANUFACTURED BY/ THE HIGH STANDARD MFG. CO./ -NEW HAVEN CONN. U.S.A.” above 2-lines of patent information, followed by a small U.S. crossed cannons ordnance wheel and a boxed “G.H.D.” (Guy H. Drewry) inspection cartouche. Left side of the receiver is marked “NN167/ N97/ N101” towards the breech. Feed tray and top cover slide are marked with High Standard’s “HS”. Parts and components exhibit various drawing numbers. Metal components exhibit a professionally reapplied parkerized finish overall. Brown synthetic charging handle and spade grips. Standard perforated bbl. support, hooded blade front sight, and flip-up aperture rear sight graduated 100-2,600 yards. Right receiver sideplate was cut at one time before being subsequently professionally rewelded. NFA Registry lists “High Standard” in the mfg. block. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: original M3 tripod with brass data plate marked “NO. 8702 DA/ MOUNT, TRIPOD/ CAL. 50, M3/ CENTRAL STEEL TUBE CO. 1941”. This example is also accompanied by x1 Mk93 cradle, x1 Mk93 ammunition tray, x3 spare bbls. in OD canvas carriers, x1 spare top cover, x1 .50 caliber link loading machine, x1 sealed box containing 16 disintegrating link belts, a Black & Decker toolbox containing an assortment of tools, as well as x1 April of 1945 TM9-1225 technical manual.
