 75% Vine type foliate scroll engraving by Colt Master Engraver Ben Lane. Frame is gold finished. Bbl., cyl., hammer & grip straps have blue finish w/ French Grey finished engraved sections. Gold wire borders are found at breech & muzzle ends of bbl., around bbl. markings, front sight, ejector housing, hammer, & grip straps. Engraver’s signature is found forward of trigger guard bow. 1 Piece grips of black walnut w/ tight burl figure. Right panel has brass inlaid badge marked “To / WYATT / EARP / PEACEMAKER / From the Grateful / People of Dodge City / APR 1787 8th”. Badge on left panel is marked “U.S. / MARSHALL AT” at center of star.
