This is an interesting half stock short fowler w/ 3 staged swamped bbl. w/ commerical London proofs & “DELANY LONDON”. Brass mounted, lg. side plate inscribed in script “Alexander Kennedy”. Alexander Kennedy (1738-1805) was a Corporal in the Revolutionary War. The thickness of butt & thin oval wrist & early Ketland lock definitely date this gun Revolutionary War era or earlier.
