Cal. 9mm
S# SWC1023
Bbl. 10″

Hooded fixed blade front sight, rear sight is windage drift adj. 2 piece folding leaf. Of all the German WWII era SMGs, the MP40 may be the most iconic of them all. It’s slow cyclic rate combined w/ decent sights & pleasant ergonomics make it as fun to operate as it is interesting to look at. It utilizes a very simplistic, yet incredibly smooth open bolt firing mechanism. The recoil system is typical of German over engineering consisting of a 3 piece telescoping rod w/ a captured spring that dbls. as the connection point for the firing pin which slides inside of the bolt. The safety mechanism is an extremely simple design which shares commonalties w/ other WWII era SMGs. It consists of a rearward notch that interfaces w/ the cocking handle holding the bolt to the rear.

This particular example was mfg. by Special Weapons Co. of Wilmington, NC utilizing the majority of what appeares to be original German parts. This MP40 utilizes a 3d generation mag. housing which includes the ribs for strength & square notch facing the shooter. While outwardly marked parts possess several waffenamts & numbers, it appears to have been assembled from numerous original SMGs w/ very few numbered matching. Rear trunnion, sights, trigger group & stock bear matching numbers & indicate “bnz43” mfg. Rear trunnion bears waffenamt w/ code “WaA623”, as well as front sight assembly forward of resting bar. Under folding stock, reddish-brown Bakelite grips w/ dark brown Bakelite lower receiver cover.

THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT MODERN REQUIRING BATF TRANSFER BEFORE TAKING POSSESSION. FULLY TRANSFERABLE.
