DESIRABLE HIGH CONDITION WWII DUTCH CONTRACT JOHNSON SEMI-AUTO RIFLE WITH BAYONET.

Bbl. 21 5/8″

Bbl. shank marked w/ “4348” “E”. Bbl. appears to be replacement as it is not machined to receive bayonet lug retaining pins. Serial numbers will not match on Johnson rifles because they were not matched at the factory at the time of assembly. Receiver marked on left rear w/ “CRANSTON ARMS CO.” in inverted triangle. Also marked w/ sm. 5 pointed star which was the Dutch acceptance mark. Receiver markings on top include “JOHNSON AUTOMATIC” “MODEL OF 1941” “CAL 30-06 SEMI-AUTO” “MADE IN PROVIDENCE, R.I. U.S.” & patent info. Adj. aperture rear sight graduated to 1,000m. Blade front sight w/ protective ears. Walnut buttstock & forend. British style tan web sling.
