9” Overall, 4” octagonal barrel engraved “New Orleans” in script, “V LIBEAU” engraved on lock. Breech has two platinum bands. Lock, breech, tang, and triggerguard are delicately scroll engraved. German silver buttcap has hinged compartment for caps. This is among the best survivors by this New Orleans maker who worked 1829-1848.Unattached accessories: Limited edition #119/200 NEW ORLEAN GUNSMITHS by Kit Gorman 2005.
