31” Curved blade: “THOMAS, GRISWOLD / NEW ORLEANS” stamped at ricasso. The unique feature of this sword is the exceptional 1″ crosshatched letters cut into well patinaed scabbard “CSA” & “TJR”, TJR no doubt the artillerist’s initials.
