Outstanding Winchester Model 1886 Deluxe Lever Action Rifle

Bbl. 26″ octagon. Equipped with rare Rocky Mountain front sight and semi Buckhorn rear for sight by Freund, Cheyenne, WY. Full length mag. Beautifully case colored receiver, lever and hammer with blued breach bolt and trigger. Forearm and pistol grip stock with ebony grip insert of XXX black walnut. Features include style “H” factory checkering and hard rubber shotgun buttplate. Inside of lower tang marked with assembly number “590” followed by “SRB” and wood grade marking “XXX”. Top tang channel of stock has matching assembly number.
Cody records show that it was received in warehouse on August 10, 1889 and shipped the same day to order #24581.
