Very Fine Winchester Factory Special Order Casehardened Deluxe Model 1873 Rifle.

Bbl. 24” octagon. Globe front sight having circular disk post interchangeable peep, original elevator adjustable rear sight and Vernier tang sight. Full length tubular mag. Action, lever, forearm cap and crescent steel buttplate are case colored. Brass cartridge elevator is nickel finished. Single set trigger. Forearm and pistol grip stock with ebony insert of fancy walnut have style H factory checkering. Left inside of lower tang is marked with assembly number “498” followed by wood grade marking “XXX”. Top tang channel of stock has matching “498” assembly number.
