Custom shop engraved recoil operated shotgun. Bbl. 25” vent rib w/ fixed Skeet choke. White target front sight w/ steel mid bead. Action has exquisite hand engraving. Right side viginettes feature a flushing pheasant, 2 pointing setters & a partridge. Left side features a mallard, 2 pointers & a woodcock. Balance of receiver sides & top have elaborate vine type foliate scroll w/ stippled backgrounds. Complimenting engraving extends to trigger guard bow & breech end of bbls. Fore arm & hard rubber capped pistol grip stock gloss finished fancy black walnut having elaborate point pattern segmented hand checkering. Toe line of stock has oval nameplate. LOP: 14” over original buttplate. WEIGHT: 6 lbs, 7.4 ozs. The model 11-48 was mfg. 1949-1968.
