Cased Colt 1851 3rd Model Navy Revolver W/ Canteen Shoulder Stock

Bbl. 7 1/2” octagon w/ Hartford address & dovetail mounted semicircular front sight. Six shot round cyl. w/ naval scene engraving. Small round iron trigger guard w/ forward mounted sling swivel. Blue & case colored finish. Bbl., frame, grip straps, cyl., loading lever & wedge have matching numbers. Left side of trigger guard has “M” inspection mark. Left side lower edge of bbl. is stamped “2”. 1 piece walnut grip. Mfg. 1857.
UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: period style oak casing w/ green fitted cloth interior having provisions for the shoulder stock. Stock has brass fittings w/ chain attached canteen cap. Lower tang & peak of buttplate are marked w/ S# 79451, 9 numbers higher than the revolver. Inside lid has directions for loading & cleaning. Case contains powder flask, 2 cavity mold, sterling silver oil bottle, slotted tip cleaning rod, cap tin, round balls & bullets. Also included are spare mainspring, wedge, trigger spring & screws. Wrapped six round package of Merwin & Bray combustible envelope cartridges are included.
