Per “German Flare Pistols and Signal Ammunition” by Dr. Lorenz Scheit, approx. 800 mfg. 1913-1917 for the German Imperial Navy; nicknamed the “Submarine” model.
Brass frame & matching numbered flare 5 1/4″ bbls. Bottom of frame has crown “M” proof. Butt stamped “AW.W 15 / 157”. 2 Piece walnut grips.
