Very Rare Special Order Factory Engraved Nickel Deluxe Colt Lightning Medium Frame Slide Action Rifle With Factory Letter

Bbl 26″ Octagon
Left side of engraved action features a western scene w/ mounted cowboy roping a bull buffalo. Top of receiver has an engraved rampant colt between the ejection port and hammer. Balance of receiver side, top and bottom have a flowing American style foliate scroll w/ punch dot backgrounds.
German silver blade rocky mountain front sight with elevator adj. sporting rear sight. Factory nickel finish with fire blue screws. Inside left of lower tang and bottom of top tang have matching S#s. 2 Piece checkered hard rubber milk pail slide handle with rampant colt motifs. Fancy pistol grip stock of gloss finished thin shell walnut with crescent steel buttplate and oval nameplate in toe line. Wrist has point pattern hand checkering with additional checkering at bottom of pistol grip. Mfg. 1886.
