20th century. Weymouth, MA. The mahogany case with gilt displayed eagle finial, eglomise bowed panel throat glass marked “Paten” within gilt scrollwork, flanked by burnished brass pierced fillets. The round base with convex “Aurora” eglomise panel within a border of spherules. The gilt pendant beneath the base is elaborately carved with leaf tips. The brass 8-day movement is time only. The painted metal dial with single aperture within a gilt rayed star is signed “Elmer O. Stennes / Weymouth, Mass” in script. The pierced hands are original. SIZE: 45 1/2″ h x 12″ w x 5″ d.
