18th century, American; possibly Pennsylvania. The serpentine crest rail with backswept molded ears above the pierced splat with trapezoidal slip seat covered in floral needlepoint raised on frontal cabriole legs terminating in bold pad feet, the rear legs backswept joined by a recessed baluster turned and blocked box stretcher. SIZE: 38″ h x 33″ w x 18″ d. Seat is 17″ h.
