CUSTOM WINCHESTER MODEL 21 SKEET GUN BY PACHMAYR WITH SUPERB ENGRAVING AND RELIEF GOLD INLAY BY RICHARD BOUCHER

The late Richard Boucher did a considerable amount of work for Pachmayr in the 60’s and 70’s. This nicely embellished gun has 26″ barrels marked for skeet 1 & 2 chokes. Breech ends are engraved with 3″ triangles of simple scroll surrounding game scenes with birds in relief gold. A quail takes wing in desert environment on left side and a ruffed grouse erupts through birch trees on right. Gold bands are around breech ends and muzzles. Coin finished flat side model 21 action with non-automatic safety and gold plated single selective trigger has all factory markings on engine turned watertable. Action is engraved with full coverage varying size simple scroll with some semi-relief floral highlights within gold wire inlaid borders. Game scenes on sides of action continue barrel theme with two vignette of quail in desert on left and ruffed grouse in birch and alders on right. Trigger plate features a fine scene of two relief gold pheasant; one falling from the sky as another flies off, in woodlands with conifers in background. This scene is signed “BOUCHER”. A pointers head is on trigger guard bow. Blued top lever has nicely pierced and scroll sculpted thumb piece. The quality of this attractive work is very fine, with softened details in gold of birds and good bulino shading of backgrounds. Original factory straight grip buttstock made of nicely crotch figured American walnut measures 14-1/8″ over checkered wood butt. Point pattern checkering is at grip and a large gold oval engraved with the monogram “RLN” ? is on toeline. Matching unbraced beavertail ejector forend has engine turned iron and usual “J” spring and knurled button secondary releases.

UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: gun is housed in tan leather case with glued on corners, lined in green felt. Case contains keys and tan cloth zippered outer cover.
