US MARKED WINCHESTER 1200 TRENCH PUMP SHOTGUN

Bbl. 20″ cyl. bore. In 1965, Winchester developed military versions of the model 1200 & model 1400 shotguns. The 1200 trench gun was tested & approved by the U.S. army & production contracts given to Winchester. The model 1200 trench gun is one of the scarcest military trench guns & saw service as recently as 2006 in Iraq & Afghanistan. Matte blue-black finished alloy receiver. Bottom of receiver below S# is stamped “U.S.”. Bbl. is fitted w/ hand guard & bayonet lug. Left side of bayonet lug is marked w/ part number 11688389/m. Bbl. & hand guard have parkerized finish. Left side of bbl. is stamped “U.S.” above standard Winchester bbl. markings & “CYL” choke marking. Walnut beavertail forearm & pistol grip stock w/ original plastic buttplate have a dull military finish. Toeline of stock has screw attached sling swivel. CONDITION: near excellent retaining 97% metal finish showing only light scratches & handling marks. Wood shows small dents & marks. Bright near excellent bore.
