WINCHESTER 1876 “1 OF 1000” STYLE UPGRADED LEVER ACTION RIFLE

This rifle is nicely upgraded to the 1 of 1000 specifications & would make a nice display piece in any collection. S# appears to be altered to match an original 1 of 1000 rifle. Top flat at breech end of bbl. is engraved “One of One Thousand”. Breech & muzzle ends of bbl. have platinum inlaid bands w/ scroll engraving on the flats. Bbl. 28″ octagon w/ German silver blade rocky mountain front sight & folding leaf rear sight. Full length mag. Case colored action. Single set trigger. Walnut forearm & straight grip stock w/ crescent steel trapdoor buttplate. Stock & forearm have coarse added checkering done in the factory style. CONDITION: attractive rifle w/ much original finish. Bbl. & mag. tube retain 70% dull thinning blue w/ touch-up in engraved areas. Action retains 20% lightly visible case colors w/ balance fading to silver/gray. Wood has moderately worn original finish showing scratches, marks & small dents. Sound action w/ functioning set trigger. Dark lightly pitted bore retains intact rifling.
