Bbl. 20″ round. Marble Sheard gold bead front sight w/ marbles express rear sight & Lyman tang sight. Action features rectangular cocking indicator on bolt, brass rotary mag. w/ left side cartridge counter, bent tab safety & saddle ring. Period engraving in a non-standard pattern is by an unidentified engraver. Engraving consists of foliate scroll w/ punch dot backgrounds on receiver sides, complimentary scroll & punch dot ornamentation extends to upper & lower action areas. Schnable tipped forearm & straight hand stock of fancy black walnut w/ steel carbine buttplate. Forearm & wrist of stock have fancy borderless checkering w/ scalloped rear edges & additional checkering panels on the stock ears. Finish is blue w/ case colored lever. Serial number indicates 1902 mfg.
