Charles-Henri Meylan 17-jewel made 14K gold hunting case has beautiful inscription on inside lid: “An honest tale speeds best being plainly told / employees of / Bailey and Cole / with / BUFFALO BILL’S WILD WEST / to / Fred. B. Hutchinson / 1898 / Sincere & Best Wishes”. Frederick B Hutchinson, longtime showman worked with Bailey & Cole Circus along with Buffalo Bill later managing Barnum & Bailey Circus.
