SCARCE FACTORY ENGRAVED MAUSER MODEL 1910 SIDELATCH SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH PAUL MAUSER ARCHIVE DOCUMENTATION

24-1083
Cal. 6.35mm
S# 60467

Bbl. 3″. Super scarce factory engraved Mauser Model 1910 Sidelatch. The pistol is marked in the standard manner with a single line factory address on the left side of the slide and “GERMANY.” on the left side of the frame. The Mauser banner logo was marked on the sideplate, with the full S# appearing at the rear of the frame. Crown/C/U proofing on the right side of the slide. Fitted with the usual single piece wrap around grip, with a central field of checkering around each screw. Nickel plated mag. with 8 indicator holes and a pinned floorplate. Major parts rust blued, small parts fire blued, disassembly showing a matching bbl. and slide. The embellishment largely consists of a vineyard scrolled motif, with mixed silver and gold inlays, coverage to include the rear of the slide, under the forward frame, under the trigger guard, and over the front strap. The exception to this pattern is the sideplate in which silver has been used as the background for an oak leaf and acorn pattern. Each side of the grip has the checkered field bordered in silver, with 2 mother of pearl accents near the bottom. A similarly embellished consecutive pistol (S# 60466) was recorded by Mauro Baudino, noted Mauser author and historian, who confirmed the work as having been performed by the Mauser factory. MAGS: 1 9-rd.
