SCARCE PARKER 16GA. DHE SHOTGUN WITH 30″ BARRELS, L.O.M. CASE, & CLEANING ROD

The 30″ Titanic steel barrels have all correct markings on standard matted rib, barrel flats, and lump. Bottom of the rear lump is stamped “16”, and the frame size is “1”. The case-hardened Parker action has all the correct markings on the watertable and features automatic safety and nickel-plated double triggers. Action is engraved in the usual “D” style with an 80% coverage of scroll surrounding dog scenes on the sides (pointer on the left, setter on the right). Trigger plate is engraved with a standard group of four pheasants. “PARKER BROS” is on each side of the action. S# is on the trigger guard tang. Parker-capped pistol grip buttstock of lightly marbled and figured European walnut measures 14-3/8″ over an old black and white line pad on the remnants of the original buttplate with spur. Stock is appointed in the usual “D” style with point pattern grip checkering, spear-shaped drop points, and a large vacant silver oval. Matching splinter ejector forend, along with the usual release, has patent information on the iron. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: L .665. R .665. Restriction: L .025 (mod). R .021 (mod). Wall thickness: L .020. R .019. (both sides close to the top rib, otherwise mostly .023-.025). STOCK: DAH: 2-13/16″. DAC: 1-5/8″. CAST: neutral. LOP: 14-3/8″. WEIGHT: 6 lb., 15 oz.
UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: gun comes with what is probably its original brown leather leg of mutton (L.O.M.) case, which contains a Marbles aluminum cleaning rod in the bag.
