EXHIBITION QUALITY EXTRA FANCY ENGRAVED SHARPS MODEL 1852 SPORTING RIFLE

Very rare configuration and probably the finest engraved 1852 rifle. 26″ heavy octagonal browned barrel, 3-line address, iron mounted, double set triggers, 4″ tang sight, cut-off folding rear sight, inset hooded globe pin front sight and an additional German silver blade front sight in tool box. Barrel breech & muzzle, frame, lock, hammer, lever, trigger plate, tool box & buttplate are beautifully engraved with extra-fine foliate arabesque scrolls with 2 scenes with deer. Mounted on high gloss figured walnut.
