RARE PUBLISHED BURGER & BROTHER CONFEDERATE D-GUARD BOWIE

14.5″ overall, 9.5″ clip point blade. Pictured & described on pages 238-239 of Norm Flayderman’s monumental “THE BOWIE KNIFE”. This is only the second D-guard version of a Burger bowie known. Other known examples have simple cross guards, but all the blades have a characteristic long bevel past the clip point almost all the way to the back and riveted grip slabs.
