WINCHESTER 1873 SECOND MODEL DELUXE EXTRA LONG LEVER ACTION RIFLE
01-27056 | Cal. 44-40. | S# 129377A.
Bbl. 28″ octagon, 4″ longer than standard. Front sight has replacement semi-circular bone blade. Sporting rear sight. Full length tubular mag. Single set trigger. Original finish was blue, with case colored hammer and lever. Forearm and pistol grip buttstock of XX fancy black walnut have style H factory hand checkered, crescent steel trapdoor buttplate, with black insert on underside of pistol grip. Left inside of lower tang is marked with wood grade marking “XX”, followed by assembly # “4954”, and “R”. Top tang channel of stock has matching assembly # “4954”. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Cody Firearms Museum record stating “Type: Rifle/ Barrel Type: Octagon/ Barrel Length: 28 inches/ Trigger: Set/ Checkered stock with pistol grip/ Casehardened/ Received in warehouse on August 20, 1883/ Shipped from warehouse on August 21, 1883, Order number 4490”. STATUS: ANTIQUE.
