BLACK POWDER FRAME ETCHED PANEL COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER REVOLVER

Single Action Army Frontier Six Shooter revolver mfg. by Colt. Left side of the bbl. exhibits an acid etched “COLT. FRONTIER. SIX. SHOOTER” panel with Colt’s single line address marked across the top. Left side of the black powder frame is marked with Colt’s 3-line patent information. Left side of forward trigger guard web is marked “44.C.F.” with “44” stamped on the underside of the bbl. Frame, hammer, and loading gate exhibit a case color haredned finish, with the bbl., ejector rod housing, cyl., and grip straps exhibiting a blue finish. Trigger, cyl. base pin, ejector rod, frame screws, and grip screw are nitre blued. Frame is mounted with 2-piece Colt checkered brown hard rubber grips. Standard SAA pattern blade front sight and frame notched rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, cyl., bbl., and grip straps. Grips are unnumbered.
