NORTH WEST MOUNTED POLICE MARKED WINCHESTER MODEL 1876 LEVER ACTION SADDLE RING CARBINE

Bbl. 22″ rnd. with integral front sight and 200-1000 yard leaf rear sight. Action has saddle ring on left side. Full length band fastened iron tipped forearm. Straight grip walnut stock with steel carbine buttplate. Right side of stock has a banner marked “NWMP”. 1,611 mfg. by Winchester for the NWMP between 1878-1885. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Winchester factory letter stating: “Type: Carbine/ Received in warehouse on March 27, 1885/ Shipped from warehouse on March 28, 1885, Order number 19589.”. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Norm Greenberg Collection. STATUS: ANTIQUE.
