WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 CUSTOM ENGRAVED DELUXE LEVER ACTION RIFLE
01-26770 | Cal. 40-82. | S# 49643. | Bbl. 28″ octagon, 2″ longer than standard.
Original sporting sights. Full length mag. Sides of receiver have foliate scroll engraving with punch dot backgrounds and double straight line borders. Complimentary engraving extends to the lever, breech end of bbl., forearm, and steel shotgun buttplate. Forearm and pistol grip stock of fancy walnut with ebony grip insert, Style H factory checkering, and shotgun style buttplate. Left inside of lower tang is marked with assembly # “321” followed by “S” and wood grade marking “XX”. Top tang channel of stock has partially visible “321” assembly # marking. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Waddy Colvert letter stating: “Rifle/ 45/82 Caliber (Note: actual caliber is 40-82)/ 28″ Octagon Barrel/ Plain Trigger/ Checkered stock with pistol grip/ Lyman front and Sporting Leaf sights/ Received in warehouse November 20, 1890/ Shipped from warehouse on November 20, 1890 order number 20618”.
