EXEMPLARY ROBERT BURT SIGNED, MASTER ENGRAVED AND GOLD INLAID COLT SECOND GEN SAA REVOLVER
25-1516 | Cal 45 Colt. | S# 64509SA.
Bbl. 4 3/4″ with blade front sight & single gold wire inlaid bands at breech and muzzle end of bbl to encompass ejector housing. Beautiful 2nd Gen SAA mfg. 1973 and subsequently upgraded by Colt Master engraver Robert Burt. Revolver finished in a full Royal Blue finish with contrasting plum loading gate. 75% coverage foliate scroll engraving, inside work shaded with fine punch dot background. Top of ejector housing engraved with twist motif. Cylinder stop lead ups flanked by “W”. Action screws engraved with Nimshcke style sunbursts. Profuse gold wire inlays appear at bottom & rear borders of action, contours of hammer & backstrap with stylized gold wire inlays at front of action, sides of trigger guard frame, bottom of trigger guard, ejector rod head and butt. Top rear of grip strap bears raised relief gold inlay of Rampant Colt bust over finely stippled background. Bottom of bbl. has engravers signature “Engraved by Robert B. Burt”. Revolver is stocked with smooth 1 piece white grips, right panel shows raised relief Winchester rider on horseback. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: original Colt wood grain box. Matching numbered original checkered 2 piece hard rubber “eagle” grips. STATUS: CURIO.
