SCARCE CONFEDERATE BLOCKADE RUN “ANCHOR S” 1863 DATED 1856 ENFIELD CARBINE

This is a superior example of Confederate carbine. Standard configuration 36.5″ overall, 21″ Birmingham 25 gauge proofed barrel, adjustable rear sight, 2 barrel bands, captured loading assembly, saddle ring bar. Crisp double “anchor S” stamps on comb below buttplate tang, “H.C” inspection mark opposite lock, stock maker and other proofs stamped on belly of buttstock. Tagged as souvenir by Brattleboro, Vermont student Frank Fisher in 1881.
