Bbl. 4 5/8″. L9A1 High Power semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Fabrique Nationale under contract for Britain in 1967. The left side of the slide is marked “FABRIQUE NATIONALE D’ARMES DE GUERRE HERSTAL – BELGIQUE” above “PISTOL AUTOMATIC 9mm L9A1”, “BROWNING’S PATENT DEPOSE”, as well the intertwined “FN” monogram, followed by “1967”. Right side of the slide is marked with the NATO stock # “1005-13-010-0475”. Left side of the frame is marked with “1005-13-010-0478”, with a broad arrow proof marked on the left side of the forward trigger guard web. Right side of the forward trigger guard web and 2-piece bbl. exhibit Belgian commercial proofs. Left side of the bbl. is marked with the intertwined “FN” monogram, followed by “1967”, above “1005-13-100-3352”. Metal components exhibit a black enamel type finish (applied over a phosphate finish) overall, save for on the bbl., which exhibits a phosphate finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered black synthetic grips, and features a lanyard stud and ring on the left side. Slide features an external extractor, with a fixed half-moon blade front sight, and dovetailed U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching via FN’s factory S# in the “stacked” fashion, and include the frame, slide, and bbl. MAGS: 1 black enamel finish 13-rd. mag. with button type floorplate, marked “1005-13-010-0319” above the intertwined “FN” monogram and “1967”.
