2 SCOTTISH ALL METAL PISTOLS: 1 SCOTTISH REVIVAL, 1 EARLY

1) Scottish revival all metal pistol with rams horn butt by I.W. & I. Johnstone (military accoutrement dealer ca 1840-80) measures 12″ overall; 7-1/2″ barrel octagon to round to 16 sided with flared muzzle has geometric engraving and “London” on top rear flat. Flat lockplate is fitted with high breasted serpentine cock with back sliding safety, waterproof pan, bridled roller frizzen with roller on feather spring. Lock is engraved with scroll and maker’s name. Iron frame with rams horn butt and pricker with ball knob has ball trigger and newly made belt hook on left side. Frame is engraved with scrolls within geometric and leaf borders. Thin turned steel ramrod is held by single beaded pipe. PROVENANCE: Estate Collection of Nicholas Apergis. (01-27536/MGM)
