UNMARKED SINGLE SHOT BUGGY RIFLE

Bbl 23 7/8″ tapered rnd with faceted transitions in the forearm area. Bead front sight with long wheel adjustable semi-buckhorn v-notch sight. Round body action with center mounted hammer having checkered spur. Action is released by sliding the trigger guard to the rear. Plain trigger. Action has extensive foliate scroll engraving with stippled backgrounds and fancy borders. Bbl and action are nickel finished. Walnut forearm with ivory and ebony inlays has an engraved silver band. Pistol grip stock has horn panels with ebony buttcap. Grip panels are adorned with silver shields having engraved metal panels at the heel and is pin fastened with 5 protruding horn pins. Detachable walnut stock has engraved metal yoke with large attachment disk. Right side of stock has large silver oval with crossed sword and spear through floral engraving. Midsection of stock has a horn oval with floral center. Rear portion of stock has raised circular pearl inlay. Comb of stock has a small pearl inlay at the buttplate. Left side of stock has a total of 9 silver inlays including a star, American eagle, Navy anchor, Masonic scribe, goat’s head, pointing hand, dog along with oval and rectangular insets. Many of which are Masonic symbols. All are centered around an ebony star with pearl center. A pearl oval is located closer to the buttplate. LOP: 12 3/8″ over a horn buttplate. STATUS: ANTIQUE.
