PERAZZI SCO SPORTING ENGRAVED BY TWO MASTERS; GIOVANELLI & CORTINI WITH CASE

The 29-5/8″ monobloc screw choke barrels with slightly raised matted ventilated rib are marked with Perazzi address and importer (Perazzi USA) on monobloc. Bottom of monobloc is stamped with 1998 Italian nitro proofs, matching S# and grade. Coin finished low profile Perazzi action with removable trigger group features non-automatic safety and gold plated single selective trigger. Sides of action are engraved with scenes of Hungarian partridge; left side depicts a covey of Huns flushing from hillside, the rear most member of the group obviously shot; has head thrown back. Right side portrays an alert setter watching a flushing Hungarian partridge. Bottom of action portrays a pointer retrieving a partridge with birch trees in background. This well executed Bulino engraving is offset by a background of very nicely cut, shaded scroll with floral accents. This fine engraving is found on top tang and lever as well as firing group. Engravers signatures “Bottega C. Giovanelli inc Dar. Cortini” are found on trigger group housing. (Cesare Giovanelli, founder of a famous engraving school was responsible for the Bulino and Dario Cortini who is head teacher at the school did the scroll.) Exhibition quality stump figured and marbled European walnut extreme pistol grip buttstock measures 14-1/2″ over thin (1/2″) black rifle pad. Point pattern checkering is at grip. Matching schnabled one piece forend has Deeley type release. MEASUREMENTS: STOCK: DAH: 1-7/8″+. DAC: 1-5/16″. CAST: neutral. LOP: 14-1/2″. WEIGHT: 8 lb. 7-1/2 oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: gun is housed in Perazzi marked red ABS tan leather trimmed case; lined in blue velvet. Case contains: instruction book and other papers in red cover, spare parts kit holding firing pins, main springs and installation tool, two Perazzi choke tube boxes; 1 holding 5 tubes the other 4 tubes and installation tool (2 tubes in gun for a total of 11). STATUS: MODERN.
