Bbl. 25″ Nickel Steel w/ solid rib, fixed Full choke & brass bead. Early style Pigeon engraving by Angelo Stokes, who was an in house engraver for Winchester in the early 1900’s. The early Pigeon grade pattern is more elaborate than the late 12-5 pattern. Upland scene on right side shows 2 pointing setters & 2 woodcock. Left side scene show 2 pointers w/ 2 sitting & 1 flushing quail. Scenes are fully surrounded by vine type foliate scroll & fancy borders w/ heart shaped motifs. The engraving extends to upper & lower surfaces of action highlighting a vignette of a rough grouse on top of the receiver. Sm. rnd. forearm & straight grip stock of fancy black walnut w/ wrap around hand checkering having black diamonds on both sides of wrist.
