Bbl. 7 1/2″ w/ German silver blade front sight. Top of bbl. has single line New York address. 6 Shot rnd. cyl. w/ naval engagement scene roll engraving. Case colored frame, left side is marked “COLT’S / PATENT”. Silver finished brass back strap & trigger guard. Left side of trigger guard is marked “36 CAL”. Left rear sight of trigger guard bow is stamped “L”. Creeping loading lever assembly. 1 Piece walnut grips. Bbl., frame, trigger guard, grip strap, cyl. & wedge having matching S#’s. Number “2” is stamped above S# on bbl. & below S# on trigger guard & grip strap. Total of over 38,000 mfg. 1861-1873, S# of this revolver indicates 1862 mfg.
