WALTHER PPK RZM ENGRAVED SEMI-AUTO PISTOL.

Bbl. 3 1/4″ w/ engraved cross hatch pattern in ejection port area being in the white & having crown N proof. Mfg. 1935 w/ full iconic German oak leaf & acorn engraving. Punch dot background & borders of circle dot patterns or slanted short lines. Cross hatch pattern on front sides of trigger guard. Right side of slide forward of ejection port has inlaid gold eagle over circled party symbol. Bottom of front strap has gold intertwined initials “AS”. Brief internet search of Germans tried for war crimes produced handful of persons w/ AS initials. Further research lead to 2 persons that due to stature or position might have had such an ornate personal pistol. Albert Speer was Minister of Armaments. Albrecht Schubert was an infantry general of such note to receive Knights Cross of Iron Cross. Mottled brown Walther banner marked grip having checkering & typical scattered black streaks throughout. An especially nice engraved pistol having scarce RZM marking.
