This outstanding unique piece of art & design was destined for display at the NRA Museum at great expense (several multiples of estimate), never donated due to passing of Fred Thrane (1946-2020) who has donated most of the “high art” custom arms currently on display at Whittington Center NRA Museum, Raton NM. Fred loved this pistol sparing no expense in the exquisite custom carving and gold inlaid engraving by Damien Connolly. Jerry Fisher (1930-) of Big Fork Montana & Damien Connolly of Andover, Vermont (1953-) are two of renowned living artists associated w/ custom firearms.

Their work is always highly sought as quality is unsurpassed. Jerry patented his design of the single shot & this is only prototype made to date. Jerry handcrafted this pistol & Damien exquisitely relief carved the grips & forestock. Jerry’s initials “JF” are relief carved on either side of grip in oval cartouches intertwined on intricate fine tiny, crosshatched background as there under his raised scrolls. “JERRY FISHER BIG FORK MONTANA” is engraved in block letters on top of bbl. Steel frame is relief engraved by Damien Connolly w/ floral scrolls & inset gold tendrils, signed “CONNOLLY ENG” above trigger bow. The 6.5″ round bbl. is brightly blued w/ gold insets highlights en suite w/ engraving. S# 001 under grips.
