Grip: Stag antler grip w/ no ferrule. Sm. 1/2″ iron pommel cap through which the tang is peened.

Notes: Nixon is listed as a cutler who worked on Nassau St. in New York City from about 1835 to 1862. It is also noted that Nixon is mentioned in an 1848 Scientific American magazine as having “the best shears”.
