WWII German MG42 light machine gun. The MG42 was an instrumental German machine gun that played a key role in WWII & later led to the development of the U.S. M60.
The MG42 utilized new manufacturing techniques that were unique, & included a roller-block locking system and quick change barrel.
This beautiful example was made by “Maget”. The left side of the receiver is marked “NC/MG 42/6264g/cra” the war time code for the Maget factory. Included are an original Lafette mount, complete with an original optical sight and metal storage case. A field kit includes an oiler, barrel/MG wrenches, ruptured shell extractor etc. all contained in dark leather pouch.
This is an extremely clean & complete MG42 example certain to be the highlight of any militaria collection.
