inv# 21-277

Cal. 16 Ga. 2 9/16″. S# 197845. Bbl. 30″.

The Parker Story indicates that approx. 16 “B” Grade guns were made in 16 Ga. with 30″ bbls. The bbls. are marked with Parkers address and “ACME STEEL” on standard matted concave rib. Bbl. flats are stamped with all correct steel and grade markings. Lumps are stamped with S#, Ga. and for “1” frame. Case hardened action is nicely filed with single bead around fences and features automatic safety and double triggers (all specifications match those found in serialization leger except that leger indicates this gun was made with a single trigger). All correct markings are on water table. Action is engraved in usual “B” style with varying sized scroll surrounding scenes of double dogs on sides with setter and pointer on left and 2 setters on right at rear. “PARKER BROS.” is in rectangle on each side. Trigger plate has unusual scene of 2 quail, 1 flying and 1 standing in open meadow. Trigger guard with scroll on bow has S# on tang. Capped pistol grip stock of lightly marbled and figured European walnut measures 14 1/2″ over black, leather covered pad. Side panels are checkered in deep set shields and have usual fleur-de-lis drop points. Checkering pattern is of usual B style with partial fleur-de-lis intrusion toward comb. Hard rubber grip cap has bottom inset with lg. vacant gold oval which has border scroll engraved. Matching splinter ejector forend is near fully checkered and has nicely filed steel tip as well as patent date on iron.
