UNIQUE AND FINE “C.H. RIGDON” CONFEDERATE REVOLVER.
inv # 01-17370

Cal 36. NSN. For the Confederate handgun collector who wants every model, this is the only Rigdon & Ansley 12 stop revolver with only “CH RIGDON” marking in standard configuration and 100% original, complete and superior condition for a Confederate revolver. It is also the only Rigdon & Ansley with “S.C” surcharge like seen on Leech & Rigdon revolvers in mid production S# range. This revolver also has a dovetailed blade front sight unlike the pin sights seen on all other examples. There are only 4 other guns known marked “C H RIGDON” and it is secondary marked on side flat with “CSA” on top. (1490, 2154, 2180, 2182). This gun has been known since 1979 when it surfaced in Elizabethtown, Tennessee with history that a Confederate carried it. This gun has remained in the same collection since it surfaced in the consignor’s world. There is only one other identically marked “CH RIGDON” revolver and it is a unique 5″ unserialized “pocket revolver” which also has long history and thought to be Charles Rigdon’s personal revolver and late production.

Status: ANTIQUE
