VERY FINE BEAUTIFULLY CARVED PETITE 18TH CENTURY JAEGER FLINTLOCK RIFLE

.42 cal, 42.5” overall, 28” octagonal swamped barrel with inset brass blade front sight and sculptured notch rear sight. Brass mounted with wooden patch box. Tapered and beveled lock is marked forward of cock “BUMANN / A LIND”, 3 screw sideplate. Stock is finely relief carved. Horn nose cap and ramrod tip both have matching bone inlays. Double set triggers, front sling swivel and rear sling engraved stud. This rifle was brought to America by a World War II veteran as a souvenir.
