Bbl. 30″ Nickel Steel w/ solid rib, fixed Full choke & brass bead. Early style Pigeon engraving by William Gough, who was an in house engraver for Winchester in the early 1900’s. This early style engraving is more elaborate than the later 12-5 pattern. Right side features a woodland scene w/ 2 pointing dogs & 2 woodcock. Left side has a marsh scene w/ 5 flying mallards. Scenes are surrounded by foliate scroll & fancy borders that extend to the upper & lower receiver surfaces culminating w/ a quail at the top rear of the action. Original sm. rnd. walnut forearm as wrap around hand checkering. Replacement straight grip stock of fancy black walnut w/ Pigeon grade warp around hand checkering & black diamonds on both sides of wrist.
