Stock: Short rifle style forearm & straight grip stock of spectacular thin shell walnut w/ gloss finish over imagination catching red tone marbling & vibrant dark streaking. Stock & forearm have fine hand checkering.

Finish: Antique silver finished action

Engraving: Deep floral scroll engraving on the right side w/ 24K gold American eagle & gold inscriptions “UNITED STATES of America” & “1787 200th Anniversary1987”. Left side of receiver has spectacular engraving depicting the signer’s of the U.S. Constitution bordered in 24K gold. The scroll engraving extends to the floorplate, lever, crescent steel buttplate, forearm cap, breech end of bbl. & magazine cap. Bbl. has gold bars at both ends w/ gold “Winchester” & “Michigan” markings. Gold inlaid inscription on top flat reads ‘We The People of the United States”.

Notes: Original plans were to build one rifle for each state using the state name as the serial number. According to Tom Trolard’s book “Winchester Commemoratives Volume II”, only 17 were actually produced & distributed by Cherry’s Fine Guns.
